The versatile, dynamic yet robust LOWA ZICON® GTX MID made from high-quality full grain leather is ideal for police and security. The raised shaft supports the ankles, while the double-injected PU midsole provides shock absorption. This combination ensures long-lasting comfort, ideal for long days on your feet.
Thanks to the ESD-compliant design, the shoe reliably protects against electrostatic discharge and is therefore also suitable for work areas with sensitive electrical equipment.
In addition, the model with two-zone lacing and the option of fitting orthopaedic insoles in accordance with DGUV 112-191 offers possibilities for a further optimized individual fit. The waterproof GORE-TEX-PROFESSIONAL membrane with its breathable properties promotes a pleasant inner shoe climate, which is supported by the upper material treated with RAYFLECT technology.
The LOWA ZICON® GTX MID is certified as a professional shoe in accordance with EN ISO 20347:2022 and is ESD-compliant with a non-slip outsole that is also resistant to oil and fuel.

Highly breathable, durably waterproof lining material. Keeps feet pleasantly dry and offers optimised climate comfort for a broad range of outdoor activities.
The upper leather of the shoe is equipped with sunlight-reflecting pigments. Due to the reflection, the leather and thus the inside of the shoe heats up less and more slowly, especially in black shoes. This feature makes it easier to work outside, especially in summer.
The shoe is equipped with an exchangeable footbed for optimal individual adjustment and, in combination with the orthopaedic insoles ErgoPad® work:x and ErgoPad® work:h+ from BAUERFEIND®, is certified and approved for use as occupational footwear in accordance with DIN EN ISO 20347:2012.
The sole meets the highest anti-slip standards. Slip protection depends primarily on the design and rubber compound of the outsole. The shoe provides optimal slip protection on slick, wet and oily surfaces, as well as good grip on terrain.
Shoes that are designated as METAL-FREE use no metal components whatsoever. This is reflected in particular by the eyelets or hook, the toe cap and the penetration protection in the
sole. Shoes that are designated as metal-free are not thermally conductive and are 100 percent metal-free, making them undetectable. They are best suited to use in areas where metal-free materials are required (e. g. at airports).
The shoe is equipped with lacing hooks with a closed design. The laces are guided securely and cannot slip out of their hooks. Closed lace hooks minimise the risk of the shoe getting caught on objects.
Comfort and cushioning is further improved for specific uses with a complex injection-molding process using a layering process.
Conceived and developed by LOWA, this rubber outsole varies in its rubber blend having a tread design with varying lugs, both factors based on intended use. Ideal for off-trail use.
