The LOWA Expedition 8000 EVO RD is an extraordinary mountaineering expedition boot for extreme high-altitude uses. It was developed in close cooperation with Alpinist Ralf Dujmovits, one of the most successful mountaineers worldwide. It is the ideal boot for extreme alpine adventures, for expeditions into the 8,000-meter zone and in arctic climates.
A removable inner boot insulated with 400 grams of Primaloft® ensures your feet are always warm. Completely new is the gaiter construction with GORE-TEX® that offers in part an innovative ceramic coating.

PrimaLoft® insulation is a synthetic, water-repelling insulation fibre. The exceptional warming performance delivered while keeping the weight down and offering the best compressibility is produced by a particularly thin polyester fibre. These ultra-fine polyester micro-fibres are bonded to one another at millions of contact points through the use of heat. This creates a tightly adhered fibre mesh that mimics the structure and functionality of down while countless small air chambers are created. The body’s warmth is trapped here while the cold outside air is effectively repelled.
