Keven Martel was born on June 1st, 1985 in Arthabaska, Qc, Ca. Having grown up with separated parents from a very young age, he constantly changed cities and schools; therefore, he quickly learned to take advantage of every place and every moment. He found sports to be a source of motivation and well-being, which helped him to get through difficult times. From a very young age, his father instilled in him a strength of character, the idea of setting goals for oneself, and discipline. As for his mother, she taught him creativity, resourcefulness, and freedom, all very important qualities which will make him suitable to be the first person trying to conquer Canada.
His real life as an adventurer began when he joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 18. Keven quickly distinguished himself from the others through his fitness level and his leadership skills, which are remarkably illustrated in the numerous mentions and\or prizes that he has received throughout his career. Furthermore, from 2012 to 2015, Keven served within the Special forces, Joint Task Force 2 (JTF2) and a new passion was born in him, wilderness survival. He took several courses in order to master and practice his passion, while testing his limits, in numerous hikes in the forest.
